3D Render Artist

Full Job Description

As we continue to grow our team, we are currently seeking candidates for a 3D Render. We are looking for the right person to join our growing team. We are a full service design firm providing bespoke design to clients across the nation. We are specifically looking for someone skilled in utilizing SketchUp. We are a fast growing firm, who strongly value building a long term team who's personalities mesh well together and push each other to meet goals, be creative and deliver exceptional design. You must be be local and able to come into our studio, as this position will work closely with our in house designer on live designing. 

You must have:
- Excellent attention to details

- Ability to model/draft/visualize quickly

-Skilled ability in using SketchUp

- An existing portfolio to demonstrate artistic and technical ability

-Team mindset, and ability to take very specific direction regarding the design of spaces you will be visualizing or drafting.

-Organized and Goal Orientated.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

• SketchUp modeling
• Transferring SketchUp models to Layout and annotating
• Creating and using PBR materials
• Proficient in Enscape, VRAY, Thea Render, Lumion, Unreal or other Render Engine
• 2D Drafting
• Proficient in Photoshop and Lightroom
• Licensed Architect or Interior Designers welcome, but not a requirement

What You'll Do

• Work closely with in house Designers to create 3D and 2D visuals
• Create true to life still and video renderings of projects to be built
• Create build plans including detail documentation
• Create post production workflows for still rendered images
• Develop and catalog 3D assets for current and future use of the firm

• All around, someone who has a positive attitude, is a solutions-driven problem solver who brings a level of thoughtfulness to everything they do.

• Previous experience in a firm or educational institution developing 2D & 3D assets, technical drawings, and architectural services preferred

The Details: This role will begin part time with the potential to move into full time quickly for the right candidate. We want to grow with the right team and create long term career opportunities within our firm. Hours may fluctuate from week to week, depending on the needs of the business. Work days and hours will have some flexibility. This is a 1099 Contractor position. Office location is Houston, TX. This is not a remote position and would require applicant to work in studio with our design team. We would prefer to find someone interested in growing with the company versus someone looking for something more temporary.
