Lab Technician / Research Associate - Biology

Turn Biotechnologies is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual for the position of Lab Technician / Research Associate Biology.
This person will be a highly motivated and responsible individual whose primary purpose is to perform and assist with experiments, analyze data, maintain records, manage projects, maintain lab operations, and other duties as required to meet company goals.
RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties include but are not limited to:
Work on in vitro and ex vivo model systems that include the use of human skin explants
Evaluation of drug delivery, transfection efficiency, and therapeutic efficacy in dermatology-related in vitro and ex vivo models using various imaging platforms and analytical methods
Processing and analysis of human and animal tissues
Establishment and maintenance of cell and tissue culture model systems
Performance of cell-based assays and analytical techniques including qPCR, ELISA, western blotting, imaging, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, FACS, etc.
Organize data, maintain detailed records, and effectively evaluate and communicate results
Order, track and monitor lab supplies, shipments and equipment as required for the lab
Education/Experience
Degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline
At least 2 years working hands on in a lab
Industry and dermatology experience is a significant plus
Experience in histology, microscopy, cell and tissue culture work and in vitro assays
Experience in small (rodent) animal handling and tissue evaluation
Follow written protocols, record observations in written or electronic form as required, and efficiently manage their time to support multiple ongoing studies
Ability to achieve goals and milestones with quality, precision, and speed
Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Responsible, and have a strong work ethic
Proactive and organized
Quick learner
Positive attitude, and a collaborative, team player
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
