CLINICAL THERAPEUTICS SME

Schedule Requirements: Other Schedule Structure If Shift or Other Schedule Structure are chosen, please describe the hours/shifts required below. This would include work in other time zones, or if you need contractors on alternating shifts such as an early shift and a late shift.

Description of Schedule Requirements (if applicable): The contractor shall be flexible in assigned schedule and be able to perform duty hours between 0700-1700. Contractor may be required to work outside core hours (e.g., evenings/weekends) to address urgent, time-sensitive tasks. Contractor should be able to flex work schedule during these times, while maintaining 40-hour work week.

Position Qualifications and Requirements

Education and/or Certifications

  • The contractor shall possess a professional degree in medicine, nursing, pharmacy (i.e., MD, DO, PA-C, BSN, MSN, NP, PharmD) or related clinical field.
  • Desirable: The contractor shall possess a Master's degree in Public Health.

Experience

  • The contractor shall possess at least five (5) years of experience working with patients in a healthcare setting (i.e., physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse, pharmacist).
  • Desirable: The contractor shall possess experience prescribing, administering, or dispensing COVID-19 therapeutics.

Systems and Programs

  • The contractor shall possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The contractor shall possess working knowledge of remote/virtual meeting environments such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.

Other Required Skills

  • The contractor shall possess strong organizational skills (e.g. time management, communication, setting goals, delegation, working under pressure, self-motivation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail).
  • The contractor shall possess proficiency in written and oral communications.

Performance-Based Tasks

  • The contractor shall support the clinical aspects of therapeutic administration, use, and other related projects within the team, working in tandem with the overall Therapeutics Program Lead and Deputy Lead, the Program Manager, the Therapeutics Clinical Support, the Therapeutics Technical Action Officers, and the Therapeutics Operational Action Officers.
  • The contractor shall engage with stakeholders to understand and promote adoption of new and existing COVID-19 therapeutics.
  • The contractor shall support the clinical aspects of administration, use of, and requests for information about COVID-19 therapeutics and medical countermeasures.
  • The contractor shall conduct research and maintain reliable information sources.
  • The contractor shall maintain administrative record for all program files.
  • The contractor shall perform data collection and analysis.
  • The contractor shall develop and review material for leadership briefs, EA engagement, White House briefings, etc.
  • The contractor shall develop, maintain, and review all public-facing clinical tools and documents related to the administration of COVID-19 therapeutics.
  • The contractor shall serve as support for H-CORE and external engagements.
  • The contractor shall assist in the development of strategic and operational plans and approaches.
  • The contractor shall develop and execute on COVID-19 therapeutic awareness strategies.
  • The contractor shall write and edit materials, such as reports, regulations, scholarly works, reference works and speeches.
  • The contractor shall draft articles for review for possible submission to technical journals, command information publications and other media covering significant accomplishments of H-CORE.
  • The contractor shall obtain and clearly explain information on a variety of medical or scientific program, policy and research issues and educational materials.
  • The contractor shall communicate scientific information effectively both orally and written (e.g., briefing presentations, technical documents, etc.).
  • The contractor shall assist in leading clinical discussions with Government and Industry regarding program concepts, funded projects, strategies, and transition concepts.
  • The contractor shall collaborate with project teams and participate in the evaluation of clinical results in multiple developmental areas, developing strategies to move the program forward.
  • The contractor shall provide periodic update reports to PMs.
  • The contractor shall maintain current knowledge on new technologies and methodologies that may benefit the program, assessing technical proposals critically and effectively, providing written technical opinion on the feasibility of new technologies, and organizing brown bag seminars to review the technologies.
  • The contractor shall review and search scientific literature and databases to identify technical information and to provide references to support product development efforts.
