Accountant/Fiscal Officer

• Routing invoices for payment authorization.
• Auditing travel vouchers and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensuring correct coding information.
• Maintaining database information as required.
• Maintaining hard copy files of all payment documents.
• Maintains billing databases.
• Processing payments in the emars application.
• Confirm appropriate authorization needed for payment.
• Communication with vendors to ensure correct payment is processed.

• Creates documents to pay judicial branch invoices.
• Reviews invoices for compliance with contract requirements and for compliance with kcoj policy.
• Ensures requesting departments process invoices in compliance with aoc policies and procedures.
• Researches and resolves any invoice discrepancies.
• Notifies vendors of invoice rejection and reason for rejection.
• Interacts with vendors when required to promote resolution regarding invoice and/or payment issues.
• Selects appropriate accounting templates, object codes and location codes in emars to allow for consistent reporting.
• Effects disbursements in compliance with kcoj policies and procedures.
• Stamps, sorts, matches and files invoices, purchase orders and other accounting documents.
