Truth Design Build is looking to hire an experienced and meticulous Lead Architect. We firmly believe in the right people doing the right things, and so we are seeking someone whose values align with our own, someone who doesn't see this as just a paycheck, but a joint collaborative venture, someone who believes both in teaching and in learning, takes pride in their work and will contribute to making Truth a better company. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems
Produce conceptual plans, renderings, and documents
Plan and program layout of project(s); coordinate and integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval
Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans
Produce construction documents in Sketchup and/or Revit
Prepare drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project
Interfaces with project managers, project engineers, and clients
Work in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design team
Assist in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications
Assist in Interior Design of kitchens, bathrooms and other projects as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
Ability to work independently with minimal direction (you will be our only architect) from conception to completion
Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions
Excellent oral and written communication
Analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
Technically creative and open-minded
Ability to manage time well in order to ensure project completion on time
Excellent listening skills to translate client wishes into solid design
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution
5+ years of residential architectural experience
Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite
Interior design experience, with ability to pivot from architecture to interior design support as jobs require
WHAT WE BRING
This is a W-2 salaried position, pay range is $80k-100k per year depending on experience
Ability to work from home (though candidate MUST be local to the Denver Metro area and able to visit sites as needed
Health insurance (Kaiser) after 30 days
Paid holidays (including Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving, and all of Christmas week)
2 weeks paid vacation per year (increasing to 3 weeks after 2 years)
Annual profit sharing as well as specific job bonuses
Electric work vehicle after 1 year (we are building an electric fleet)
