Job Description

Education: Any technical Associate’s, Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; and/or equivalent formal military training.
Years of Experience: 1 - 3 years of IT experience

Responsibilities

The Systems/Server Administrator is responsible for a broad set of duties and responsibilities as well as accomplishing all tasks assigned by the CEO. Under general supervision, the Systems/Server Administrator performs a variety of systems management functions including the administration, installation, maintenance, usage, performance and day-to-day operation of all client systems/servers.

Position Responsibilities

• Install, test, monitor and maintain servers and user workstations
• Monitor network and systems to ensure sustained trouble-free operations
• Diagnose and fix problems with the server and user workstation hardware and software
• Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software
• Modify configurations, utilities, software, command language programs and network start up files, etc.
• Respond to requests for IT support
• Set up equipment for new users and establish new user accounts on the network granting access to required network files and programs
• Maintaining network security by ensuring that security compliance procedures are implemented and enforced
• Implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls
• Documenting internal procedures and ensuring all solutions are in compliance with applicable security requirements in additional to other documentation as required
• Preparation of a variety of network resource reports
• Demonstrate concern for timeliness and attention-to-detail on every task
• Implement client-established network policies, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

• UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS MANDATORY
• Must have Microsoft (MS) Windows Server 2012 R2 certification or be willing/able to pass the upgrade exam to MS Server 2016

• Must have 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager, configuring and managing deployments, monitoring issues, providing continuous feedback for improvement

• 1-3 years of relevant IT experience in a Windows server environment
• Position is Full-time (40 hours) Monday – Friday and on call during the Annual Enrollment Period (10/15 - 12/8)
• Any technical Associate’s, Bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; and/or equivalent formal military training and 3+ years of related experience is a plus
• Experience working with network and server management software
• Working knowledge of the following: TCP/IP, Windows Domain, Network Monitoring Tools, SNMP, Telnet, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, Microsoft Active Directory
• Professional, team-focused attitude and courteous towards peers, supervisors and customers

• Must be willing and able to work with others
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Detail oriented and organized
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment
• Host Based Security System (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) certifications are a big plus
