Job Description
Real Estate Title and Settlement company with offices in Virginia, is seeking a Business Development and Closing Manager for their Hampton Roads, VA locations.  This position is responsible for all sales activities ranging from lead generation through closing. Responsibilities include creating an agreed upon marketing plan to expand the customer base in the assigned area. This position also works with our pre-processing, processing and post-closing departments to achieve overall customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long term goals. 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Communicate promptly and pleasantly with all parties involved in the closing process.
  • Obtain all items necessary to meet the requirements of the sales contract, title commitment, municipality and lender.
  • Accurately prepare the closing disclosure/settlement statement in accordance with the lender/contract instructions.
  • Prepare and process all documents necessary for closing.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of closing with all parties.
  • Coordinate the post-closing activities regarding recording and finalizing lender documents.
Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include a pleasant demeanor and strong grammatical skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to prioritize needs of multiple files.
The optimal candidate will be a focused, very organized, self-starter who likes a busy day with many bouncing balls as this can be a fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable working with many different types of people while making customer service a top priority. We are seeking a resident of Hampton Roads who loves this area and plans to reside here long-term.  

The typical work day is 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; however, hours can sometimes fluctuate based on volume. This is a salaried position, and compensation is negotiable commensurate with experience.

  • Maintain relationships with existing client base as well as identifying and converting new clients.
  • Present clients with title and closing production procedures, and product and service information.
  • Fosters and maintains professional and collaborative working relationships.
  • Uses a consultive sales approach to analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements, then promotes consideration of our title and escrow services to fulfill such requirements.
  • Maintain high visibility in the real estate community by representing the company at social and/or business functions and through personal involvement in service groups and business organizations.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of closing with all parties.
  • Coordinate the post-closing activities regarding recording and finalizing lender documents.
Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Automobile insurance and a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include a pleasant demeanor and strong grammatical skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to prioritize needs of multiple tasks.

The typical work day is 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; however, hours can sometimes fluctuate based on volume. This is a salary + bonus position with benefits.
