Trojan Professional Services, Inc., is seeking to hire a Jr Systems Administrator to work in our Information Technology Department. The Jr. Systems Administrator position functions as technical support for back-end application and IT Infrastructure. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: helpdesk, support of the server and desktop environment; triage and troubleshooting of all hardware and supporting operating systems; support in the creation and updating of process documentation, vendor interface for support and information gathering, system patching, AD support functionality, application upgrades, coordination of deliverables with Users and Business Groups, and after-hours support.
This position requires:

· Strong organizational, and multi-tasking skills dealing with projects of varying complexity.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation/training expertise.
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision within a pre-defined set of procedures.
· Must be able to prioritize own workload and complete requests on time.

- Must be accountable and be able to work independently in a hybrid setting. Plan to report 1-2 times per week onsite, more if necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have 3+ years of IT experience of working in a similar role
- Familiarity with HIPAA-HITECH laws and frameworks is a plus
- Certifications are preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco or VMware)
Essential Duties:
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server infrastructure
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows server environment including High Availability clusters
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network-based services: File and Print services, Email, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/WINS, SSL/TLS, Group Policy Objects
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops/laptops.
- Administration of Azure AD/AD user accounts and security permissions.
- Administration and support of Microsoft 365.
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure including communications, office equipment, peripherals, software, networks.
- Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows software deployments
- Provide and maintain documentation of backup processes and retention periods
- Perform regular backup/restore operation, imaging operations, and testing.
- Develop and maintain training and technical documentation
- Prepare and maintain written documentation of server and application environments
- Work with department leaders implementing new software and hardware technologies
- Work with vendors to resolve issues; research and test possible workarounds and implement long-term solutions.
- Work with Director of Information Technology in implementing new technologies
- Serve as a role model for staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, and an effective work ethic
- Day to day support for desk-based and remote users.
- Document and maintain IT compliance and audit checks such as permission reviews.
- Train end-users on the use and features of the various operating systems and applications on the various platforms.
- Plan and assist with staff relocations around the office.
- Collaborate with development team to solve application problems to meet end-user computing needs.
- Optimize computer systems by researching and recommending enhancements to system capabilities and performance.
- Enforce Trojan's network, security, and change request procedures.
