Triumph Hotels is looking for a dynamic VP of Sales & Marketing to join our team. This Position will oversee 6 hotels in New York and report to COO.


Develops and implements sales, marketing, e-commerce, social media and public relations strategy and measurable efforts for a portfolio of six hotels

Responsible for leading and developing a team while driving business to exceed performance metrics set by ownership/management

Works with hotels, VP of Revenue Strategy, Corporate Director of Sales and third-party restaurant operators to develop annual marketing calendars, which include seasonal offers

Manages the quarterly review of campaign calendars – results and lessons learned

With HR, leads all internal communication for Triumph – ensuring branding, and messaging is consistent with style guidelines. Manages all external communication; i.e. Press Releases, including review of Restaurant Partner releases that mention Triumph Hotels.

Manages affiliation memberships and explores all opportunities as a fit for Triumph such as promotions and public relations

Sets sales team goals and measures sales production quarterly; reviews plans annually, and suggests changes in line with business needs and competitive environment for talent

Works with Corporate DOS to determine Best Fits for Consortia/ FIT/Leisure/Group travel/trade shows. Requires and reviews Pre-Trip planning and Post-Trip recaps to ensure ROI and evaluate for future attendance

Participates on weekly revenue strategy calls with all properties

Manages digital marketing relationship (and current other website vendors/”add on” partners)

Understands all metrics; measures effectiveness of all digital efforts and tweaks as needed – including Meta, SEM, SEO, Display etc.

Works with Revenue Strategy team on need date promotions and best digital LTO (Limited Time Offer) campaigns to fill need periods

Ensures all website content is up to date; and updates at frequent intervals for SEO benefits

Manages social media messaging and channels

Manages GDS marketing; ensures marketing/ad content is updated and effective

Works with Revenue Strategy to ensure listings (HOD screens) are current/accurate

Completes robust program to drive direct bookings and establishes goals, by hotel, by season to shift business to less costly direct channels

Explores new B2B partnerships

Participates in seminars/events to learn industry best practices

Becomes Triumph expert, with VP of Revenue Strategy, on channel cost

Looks at competitive marketplace for solutions and conducts competitive RFP’s

Reviews “triggered” emails (i.e. Confirmations, Cancellations/Modifications and Pre-Arrival) for Best in Class components, such as ability to upgrade, information/links on restaurants and hotel information

Drives additional revenue via CRM (upgrades, add-on’s, etc.)

Participates in client events and hotel activations

Assists in the evaluation of acquisitions and/or disposition projects

Builds and balances sales and marketing expense budgets

Identifies and recommends new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings


Experience with best-in-class independent hotels and multiple property responsibilities is required. NYC market experience preferred. Position is based in New York City.

10 years + of relevant experience in hotel operations, revenue management, sales and marketing and real estate. A combination of two or more of these disciplines is a plus

A deep knowledge of data sources and technologies in order to make effective decisions including the ability to identify emerging trends

Thoroughly understands group and transient markets; including distribution and partnerships for Consortia.

Excellent presentation and persuasion skills supported with strong quantitative analysis

Strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Office competency required) Delphi FDC?

Self-motivated individual who is detail oriented, has strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, while also collaborating with multiple teams

A strong understanding of lodging demand trends for New York City and potentially other specific target markets to be utilized for strategic planning, internal quarterly meetings and to support underwriting efforts for both ROI and value creation projects
