Global Command and Control System – Joint Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (GCCS-J I3) Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Trinity IT is currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert to provide on-site support for the Global Command and Control System – Joint Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (GCCS-J I3)

Role:

Subject Matter Expert will provide knowledge, support and training of Global Command and Control System (GCCS) to the Joint community. Your role will serve as a subject matter expert to the Dept. of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). You will contribute to definition of technical product features, functional testing, technical conferences and training events related to Global Command and Control System.

Subject Matter Expert Job Duties:

Technical Product Knowledge:

○ With minimal direction, provide expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the Global Command and Control System- Joint (GCCS-J).

○ Serve as technical expert on project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.

○ Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

○ Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and define problems and develop plans and requirement.

○ Develop training for Agile Client application and GCCS-J suite of systems.

○ Provide expert guidance and consultation on Agile Client and GCCS-J products and services as utilized in the joint community.

○ Identify application and/or hardware requirements and capabilities and assist in detailed requirements review.

Testing:

○ Participate in testing of GCCS-J software developmental testing (DT), operational testing (OT) and verification and validation (V&V) events.

Technical Communication:

○ Participate in technical conferences, working groups, and/or video teleconferences (VTC) as related to GCCS-J and associated program applications

○ Provide Agile Client/GCCS-J expertise in response to various taskers

○ Present and lead training sessions to DoD / US military personnel

Additional duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

○ Analyze actual and predictable operational interaction between military, government, academia and industry to obtain a quantitative and rational basis for decision making or resource allocation.

○ Research and prepare draft and final technical or operational presentations.

○ Prepare reports and monitor training tasks in support of the goals.

○ Provide input to Project Lead and Program Manager

 

Travel:

○ Provide onsite expert support (including exercises) up to 10% to include CONUS and OCONUS sites.

Clearance:

· Eligible for or currently possess active DoD TS/SCI clearance, which requires US citizenship.

Minimum Skills & Requirement:

  • 8 years of experience working with US DoD Command and Control systems/applications to include a minimum of 6 years of experience directly related to GCCS-J.
  • Understanding of infrastructure and configuration of Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) version 6.x
  • Experience installing GCCS-J 4.3 and 6.x software baselines
  • Ability to replicate, troubleshoot and validate software issues identified by system administrators and users in the operational environment
  • Experience with reporting and tracking of software problem reports in support of C2 systems
  • Strong understanding of DoD command and control, intelligence, acquisition, data handling, space, and cyber, and intelligence data handling.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Ability to work with government/military personnel at all levels of authority.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Personal growth mindset: critical thinking, the ability to learn quickly and process on the fly
  • Must be able to effectively organize and communicate with military end user communities.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • If specific position requires administrator privilege Security + will be required.

Desired Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor (advanced degree preferred) in System intelligence/analytics related, or related disciplines.

· Extensive organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented tasks with minimal supervision and broad direction

· Possess a complete understanding and wide experience in the application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.

· Think independently and demonstrate exceptional written and oral communications skills.

· Active Security+ certification or equivalent IAT II certification according to US Department of Defense (DoD) Approved 8570 baseline requirements

· Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting training modules to groups of personnel

· Highly flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment.
