Trident Technologies is seeking a Director of Business Development/Capture to lead Business Development activities from our Huntsville, AL Headquarters.This position will be an integral part of our Corporate business, driving the organization's strategic growth objectives by developing and refining an understanding of customers' most important needs and creating/leading winning capture strategies. This role will directly report into the Director of Business Operations, and highly focused on markets that includes support to various Army, Navy, Air Force and Agencies (to include the Missile Defense Agency) customers. The selected individual will be responsible for leading our Corporate activities focused on driving and capturing a pipeline of new business opportunities.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing a market strategy to achieve maximum customer and market penetration and to drive tactical and strategic growth by expanding our footprint supporting DoD... Professional and Information Technology Services. This individual will be held accountable for the identification, qualification and capture of opportunities as well as the generation of qualified pipeline growth necessary to meet or exceed the business forecast and plan.
The position is in Huntsville, Alabama, but will require travel to key target market customer locations.Duties include but are not limited to:Identify and qualify new business opportunities.Develop and maintain high quality relationships with customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors.Provide critical leadership to help shape opportunities and our position throughout the opportunity life cycle.Formulate and support the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture and proposal strategy that clearly highlights Trident's value proposition and discriminators, and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting Trident for award.Establish value added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.Develop marketing strategies and provide input into market account plans with assigned account BD and P&L leaders that align with the company's strategic plan.Gain knowledge with all deals in the pipeline, ensuring that the pipeline is aligned with the strategic and operational goals of each Division, and combine the two sides (BD and delivery) to create significant synergies.Ensure that the pipeline data is accurate and up to date.Facilitate and participate in the generation of a qualified pipeline to fulfill the demands of the Trident Strategic Vision for the current as well as future years.Identify new opportunities to capturing and winning new business, and assist the team with the development and execution of account plans/go-to-market strategies, etc.EducationBachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related disciplineRequired Skills and EducationMinimum of 10 years of relevant BD experienceDemonstrated success in leading and winning contracts>$100M. Familiarity with Shipley capture and proposal methodology (preferred).Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders across HQ and agency componentsExperience leading large opportunity captures, including: Developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing team strategies, and identifying and closing with teammates; understanding pricing and assist in developing winning priceAbility to identify key growth areas and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategyAbility to develop, document, and execute a plan for achieving awards/growth.Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviorsKnowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the marketExcellent writing, communication and presentation skillsUS CitizenshipMust posses
