Accountant (Jr. - Staff Level)

Seeking Jr. Accountants ($20-24/hr) or Staff Accountant (Staff Level) in Torrance. Direct hire. Accounting Degree and/or Accounting Experience required.

• Work on-site for the first three months, Hybrid/ 2 days remote afterward (Subject to change)
• Jr. Level: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related major AND some AP experience
• Staff Level: at least 2 years of full cycle AP experience including AP Closing

Requirements of the Accountant (Jr. / Staff Level):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related major AND some AP experience is a must for Jr. Level candidate
• GAAP knowledge and 2+ years of full-cycle AP experience including AP closing is a must for Staff Level candidate
• Must have strong Excel skill
• Professional strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suites
• Bilingual in Japanese is a big plus
• Team player with a positive proactive attitude

Responsibilities of the Accountant (Jr. / Staff Level):

• Responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting procedures
• Handles A/P, General Ledger reconciliation, and Fix Asset management
• Month/ quarter/ year-end closing
• Generate various accounting reports including Financial Statements
• Assist in consolidation and reporting to HQ in Japan
• Prepare, file, and payments for federal and state income taxes, state sales taxes, property taxes, payroll taxes, business license taxes, etc.
• Other related duties to be assigned as needed
