This is a Full-Time position located at 5555 S. 108th Street in Hales Corners, WI.
Under the direction of the Mortgage Loan Closing Supervisor, the Consumer Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for ensuring completion of disclosure and loan documentation for all residential mortgage loan products, in accordance with company policy, regulatory compliance, and investor guidelines.
DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
May perform any or all of the following:
+ Prepare loan closing documents for purchase, refinance, construction, consumer mortgage loans using Mortgagebot/IDS or LaserPro in accordance with compliance guidelines.
+ Review loan file for completeness and in accordance with underwriter's approval prior to preparation of closing package.
+ Monitor high cost loans and TRID regulations including review of the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure for accuracy and adherence to fee tolerance rules.
+ Communicate professionally and proactively with all internal and external parties involved in the loan closing to avoid and/or resolve problems.
+ Confirms a title search was properly executed and that the title is in good order.
+ Analyze all fees and escrows disclosed on the mortgage loan for accuracy and update as necessary according to mortgage regulations.
+ Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations as required.
+ Complete HMDA reporting worksheet.
+ All other duties as assigned.
+ In addition to knowledge acquired through a general high school education, work requires an understanding of mortgage closing. This level of experience is normally acquired during one year of experience in a residential mortgage department or other relevant experience in the financial services industry.
+ Demonstrate understanding of federal and state consumer compliance regulations as they relate to disclosing and closing residential mortgage loans.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with processor, underwriter, loan officer, attorney, realtor and title company to meet the closing departments objectives.
