The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, Communications, or similarly relevant degree is preferred.
Successful history in sales and business development
Exceptional oral/written communication skills, time & territory management and able to meet deadlines on a consistent basis
Confident, decisive with strong negotiation, problem solving and closing skills
- Ability to travel up to 50 percent
Previous transportation/logistics sales experience (With Agent’s a plus)
Strong business acumen
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting sales calls and sales presentations with potential business clients
Develop direct relationships with the customers
Ensure profitability of independent contractors
Guide, develop and secure incremental revenue and market share from new business and existing accounts to achieve profitable volume growth consistent with regional revenue goals
Review market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential
Lead business development in an assigned geographic area
$90,000+ based on experience
