SUMMARY: Provides nursing services at the Residential Treatment Center. Works under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner. Performs comprehensive assessments during admissions process to assist in the plan of care, identifying appropriate pathways based on client history. Provides nursing education based on client's individual needs to promote well-being. Observes medication administration, monitors for adverse drug reactions or severe withdrawal symptoms and completes documentation in compliance with procedures and CARF standards.
QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse with LPN license in State of Kentucky. CPR certification required. Two years nursing experience with demonstrated ability to inspire others to excellence. At least one year of chemical dependency experience desired. Additional nursing experience in behavioral health, extended healthcare and acute healthcare preferred. Working knowledge of CARF standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Complete nursing triage during open access times
Consult with the Nurse Practitioner to determine appropriateness for admission
Coordinate with pharmacy for any medication needs
Provide medical support to the residential units
Assist with health clinic coordination
