Job Title: Sandblaster – Painter – Tank Cleaner

Location: McGregor, Texas

Job Summary

This position operates shot blasting equipment and airless paint pump to blast and paint large pressure vessels and smaller parts. Also operates pressure washer to clean steel tanks. Responsible for adjusting and setting air pressure and equipment as required also mixing different types of industrial paints.

The successful candidate will be able to perform all duties in accordance with company’s quality control, quality assurance, and health and safety policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation (abrasive blasting, sandblasting, hand/power tool),
• Operation and maintenance of equipment,
• Access, containment, systems, & safety equipment.

• Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
• Help with various maintenance and repair projects.
• Cleaning shop/yard
• Painting and tank cleaning

Requirements

• A very positive attitude, self-motivated and the ability to learn new skills and follow detailed instructions.
• The ability to operate basic power tools (drills, band saws, skill saws, etc.)
• Must be able to read a tape measure and be comfortable with basic math.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to set up airless paint pump.
• Experience with sandblasting and industrial painting.

• Must be able to climb and complete some work on ladders.
• Must be able to stand for 8 -10 hours a day.
• Must be able to lift material up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as respirator, gloves, etc.
• Must be able to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipment.
• Must be able to adhere to standards and perform a quality job in a safe manner within an acceptable time.
