VP of IT / CIO

The Vice President of Information Technology will oversee all IT functions within the company and is responsible for the strategical and financial aspects of IT linked with the regional leaders and the Group. This position reports directly to the CEO of N. America and will also be linked on the functional side to the Group CIO based in Paris and will liaise with other functional Group leaders.


This individual will oversee a team of IT professionals and manage the company’s technology operations. The design and implementation of IT Applications is a critical component of the role. The VP of IT must be knowledgeable in IT, computer systems and application management. A solid background on project management and new technologies is required. This individual must also possess a solid technical background while able to manage and motivate people. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and systems that will meet objectives with a focus of integration of systems due to acquisitions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and Develop IT
  • Roadmap Create and drive the regional IT strategic plan linked with the regional and functional leadership teams and decline it on the project portfolio
  • Assess organizational technology needs and implement IT shared services center for the region
  • Act as a trusted advisor to local line management regarding technology enablement and innovation
  • Asses project business cases.
  • Manage the IT roadmap governance.
  • Cost and budgeting
  • Define budget and provide forecast and reporting on a regional and functional basis
  • Control budget and report on expenditure
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts, manage RFP processes
  • Acquisition and Integration Management
  • Participate in IT functional Audit of potential acquisition targets
  • Develop and communicate the IT process map of integration activities- present to steering committees at monthly meetings
  • Drive the IT integration projects for new acquisitions across key function areas (Finance, HR, Operations, etc)
  • Project Management Manage and report on all IT project portfolios
  • Interact with the Group for the global IT projects declined by regions
  • Manage the IT project governance
  • Direct Management of the IT Department
  • Manage IT Governance
  • Oversee a team of 5; both in headquarters and field operations
  • Develop frameworks, policies and procedures to maintain and support application availability
  • Oversee IT operations; create and maintain best practices, policies and procedures
  • Document IT application and infrastructure maps
  • Compliance and Security
  • Responsible for IT security policies and procedures and of their application on a day to day basis
  • Ensure compliance and risk management best practices are established and regularly reviewed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Head of IT (5 to 10 years of experience in a similar job), VP of Information Technology or similar role Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications ERP rollout and knowledge is necessary (Oracle a plus CPI ( Continuous Process Improvement) proven abilities and Application architecture design
  • Proven experience in leading IT change/ demonstrated achievements in digital transformation
  • Past experience in successful integration management
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget as well as good understanding in financials aspects (ie Capex / Opex,…)
  • Very strong background in project management
  • Outstanding communication abilities
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; MS/MA a plus
  • Ability align business leaders to IT initiatives
  • Prior experience in service industry is critical; knowledge of the Facilities Management industry a plus
  • Ability to travel within Area Region (20%) as well as outside US if needed for Group meetings

Salary is up to 225K
