We also help clients find and implement opportunities to reduce costs, improve cycle times, minimize customs duties and enhance the visibility and security of their supply chains. The complex issues that international companies need to address both before and after cargo physically moves are our specialty. Our employees help our customers derive the correct HTS classification of their goods, save on customs duty using programs like duty drawback and free trade agreements, and amend the value of their customs entries through the reconciliation prototype, based on accounting changes.

Job Description

  • Drive execution of post entry filing across the business

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of customer-specific standard operating procedures

  • Support customer conversations and program discussions via quarterly business reviews, as needed

  • Assist direct reports in critical thinking and fixing problems in regard to the post entry process

  • Enhance workboards and process maps to streamline project tracking and communication within the post entry process

  • Review and communicate with customers and CBP on follow-up regarding post summary corrections and protests

  • Contribute to the sales and business development process, as well as accounts receivable process against post entry customers

  • Work in conjunction with Tradewin’s reconciliation and drawback departments to solve incorrect reconciliation and drawback filings by protest

  • Perform duties & tasks as directed by the Manager

Qualifications

  • College or University Degree;

  • Minimum 5 years brokerage experience;

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required;

  • Knowledge of CBP systems, including ACE, as well as brokerage systems;

  • Understanding of customs valuation regulations, including assists and post-accounting period adjustments;

  • Understanding of reconciliation and drawback principles;

  • Understanding of 301 exclusion language and applicability;

  • Competent PC skills, including all Microsoft Office applications. The applicant must be comfortable reviewing, analyzing, and manipulating data in both Excel and Access. Power BI and SharePoint experience desired;

  • Effective interpersonal skills;

  • Able to maintain strong relationships with all internal stakeholders;

Able to drive processes and process improvements without supervision.
