The Marketing Director will work closely with senior management and business units to develop and implement all corporate and business unit marketing. This position will be responsible for marketing communications and public relations activities.
Digital MarketingCoordinates digital marketing and branding initiatives and updates, to include client email campaigns, direct mail, and social media for the company’s various business unit plans
Facilitates the necessary coordination required from various business managers to assure planned activities are productive and achieving desired objectives and goals
Marketing CommunicationsOversees the production and distribution of digital and printed marketing tools, including literature, newsletters, promotional items, graphics, and exhibit displays
Coordinates with multiple business units to define and update branding positions, identify related needs and determine marketing options
Market ResearchConducts market research upon request to develop more in-depth information about various clients, market sectors, and industries as needed for company business plans
BudgetsManages the corporate and division marketing budgets and assures compliance with the overall budget plan
WebsiteCoordinates website maintenance, development projects, and upgrades
Manages integrations with digital marketing channels, including social media and direct marketing activities
Conferences/Trade ShowsCoordinates all trade show and conference activities, including registration, hotel reservations, company attendance, and exhibit display requirements
Maintains an up-to-date schedule of all events and expected budgets
CRM AdministrationProviding user training and client data updates in close coordination with IT and Operations to drive internal user adoption of CRM as a tool to improve client data management
Client Relationship Management/CRMManages the company’s client contact and accounts database, regularly coordinate updates, and data input
Updates client data history for Bid Reviews, train users on various functionalities and coordinate with the Bid Coordinator on updating Bid Review and Contract information
Business Unit SupportProvides ongoing marketing support to each business unit and individual regions
Supports ongoing requests for client presentations, meetings, etc.
Management of External ResourcesAssists in managing external resources that support overall marketing and communications activities
Manages all related budgets and ensures Performance metrics are in place and utilized where appropriate for each
Coordinates quarterly and annual Safety Awards to assure timely turnaround and diversity of awards, to include long-term planning of awards in conjunction with business units
Manages the availability and supply of promotional items for corporate executive needs as well as those of each business unit
Works with the company’s Storm Manager during significant storm events to provide support as needed, including reserving accommodations and other related activities to assure success
Coordinates corporate events such as annual Leadership Conferences, Christmas Party, Client Appreciation Days, and others that may arise
Provides PR support on social media as necessary by responding to events, issues, and inquiries in a manner that exemplifies the values and character of the company
Updates all operating policies and guidelines for marketing activities to assure a clear definition of how activities are managed and implemented
Provides regular news and calendar updates to the company’s Intranet site
Performs other duties as assigned

Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position
Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
Be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Prior marketing experience preferred
Degree in Marketing or related business field preferred
Knowledge and experience with the electric utility industry is a plus
