Total Veterinary Care (TVC) is searching for a Chief of Staff (lead veterinarian) for our established and growing practice located in Kennesaw, GA—a suburb of Atlanta!

As a leader, the Chief of Staff:

  • Mentors their hospital team
  • Actively promotes TVC’s core values of servant leadership, unity and initiative.
  • Partners with the practice manager to ensure adequate staffing, scheduling and team support in order to promote staff retention and prevent team burnout.
  • Along with other company leaders, participates in developing annual plans, budgets and production levels for the hospital 

As a doctor, the Chief of Staff:

  • Provides ethical and professional service to all patients using expert medical advice, judgment and technical skills. 
  • Cultivates a transparent and trusting relationship with each client and the community through education and awareness.
  • Identifies schedule coverage issues and solutions that best serve the needs of the clients and the team.
  • Stays up-to-date with current medical practices through continuing education and training.

 Receive compensation that includes the following:

  • Base compensation between $130,000- $150,000/year
  • Modified ProSal production with no negative accrual
  • Chief of Staff Bonus based on the hospital’s gross revenue
  • Sign-on bonus
  • Relocation stipend available

  • 75% medical and 25% administrative (in general)
  • Some administrative work can be done remotely

What TVC DOES NOT expect from a candidate:

  • Someone with ample experience with budgeting, business planning or other financial knowledge. (We provide on-the-job training, coaching and mentorship in these areas!)
  • Someone with all the answers. (TVC is one team, with one mission, in five locations. We help each other solve problems– whether they are medical, business-related, or team-related.)
  • Perfection. (Nobody is perfect! But everyone can strive for excellence.) 
  • Regular, long hours. (A focus on preventing burn-out among team members with a culture that supports work-life balance and rhythm is – and always has been –  a fundamental part of Total Veterinary Care.)


What TVC DOES expect from a candidate:

  • A Georgia DVM license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Some management and/or team mentorship experience
  • A willingness to practice the gold standard of veterinary medicine with a level of comfort/confidence that usually comes with 2+ years of experience
  • The ability to codirect a team through servant leadership, a positive attitude, and by building strong relationships 
  • A commitment to maintaining a diverse, inclusive and safe work environment for every team member
  • The willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge with the TVC team as a whole.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation depends on your experience.
