Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist works closely with the Human Resources Manager to develop and execute company policies, procedures and programs relating to employee benefits, compensation, training and development, recruitment and promotion, safety and health, legal compliance and administrative services to achieve the highest level of employee productivity.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Assist in development, recommendation and implementation of HR programs, policies and procedures

+ Assist and partner with Human Resources Manager on matters relating to Human Resources including: Performance, Compensation, Career Development, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Separations, etc.

+ Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all employee related areas such as COVID19, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA Compliance, EEOC Reporting, OSHA Reporting, etc.

+ Administrative responsibilities including but not limited to: Filing, Organizing, Data Entry, Preparing Reports, Processing Status Change Forms and other HR related documents

+ Communicate benefits programs to employees upon completion of first 90-days of employment

+ Conduct internal audits for digital and hardcopy files

+ Manage HR information systems and ensure that information contained is accurate and up-to-date.

+ Responsible for filing, mailing, and record keeping for all related programs

+ Coordinate all phases of the recruitment process as it relates to Human Resources, including: Communicating with Outside Recruiters, Candidate Sourcing, Resume Screening Assistance, Interview Scheduling, Background Checks, Onboarding Checklist, Substance Screenings, New Hire Paperwork, etc.

+ Create/Update all job descriptions, job postings for all positions within the organization

+ Review and prepare bi-weekly payroll for manager approval

+ Maintain vacation and PTO records and balances

+ Manage grant funding application process and projects

+ Support employees in resolving questions and issues (ex. password resets, vacation time questions, etc.)

+ Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred or related field.

+ 3+ years of experience in Professional Business Setting with at least 1 years in Human Resources.

+ SPHR or SCP preferred

+ Excellent interpersonal skills including persuasion, negotiation and motivation.

+ Strong written and oral communication skills required.

Physical Requirements:

+ Communicate with others and exchange accurate information.

+ Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment.

+ Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets or office machinery.

Work Environment:

This job takes place in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

+ While in the production areas and labs, office employees are required to wear safety glasses, safety shoes, and a highly visible vest at all times in.
