What Is In It For You

Salary: $125,000 - 145,000 annually depending on relevant industry experience + Commissions (Average 1600-1700)

A Day In The Life of a Technical Sales & Marketing Manager

As the Technical Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, forecasting, and meeting “product-specific” sales goals for the client. You will identify new markets and customers, analyze the demand for products and services and monitor the efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.

  • Identify, engage, and capture new and organic sales opportunities.
  • Work with Sales and VP of Sales to increase market share and gross profit, maximize return on inventory, and maintain updated product sales forecasts.
  • Create sales and marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and revenue opportunities, including developing product positioning and marketing/brand messaging that differentiate NPB in the marketplace.
  • Manage supplier relationship activities with the Supply Chain Manager and VP of Sales.
  • Evaluate and align quotations for strategic bid opportunities to support sales (i.e., qualified manufacturers, lead times, alternate part numbers, stocking programs).
  • Provide sales and technical support for the sales team and customers with sales and marketing specialists' support.
  • Analyze pricing and competitive information for potential sales and marketing strategy improvement with the VP of Sales.
  • Train sales team on product and industry relevant information based on direction from Sales and Marketing Manager.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Builds and manages a strong workforce positioned to achieve company goals, consistent with budget considerations, and aligned with staffing plans. Ensures employees are appropriately recruited, selected, trained, coached, appraised, and rewarded; takes action to address performance problems.

Physical Demands:

  • Strength Guideline: The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and rarely lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Motion Parameters: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision and Hearing: The employee is required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, at times, can be high.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (BSME.) from a four-year college or university plus two years related experience; or four to six years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Advanced training in recent sales techniques and bearing product knowledge.
