They are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Finance Manager job in Columbus, Ohio.

What Is In It For You

Salary: $110,000 - $115,000/yr

Position Type: Permanent - Full-time

Work Set-up: Hybrid (Minimum of 3 days in the office)

A Day In The Life of a Maintenance Finance Manager

In the position you are applying for, you will be heading the maintenance finance section, taking on the responsibility of meeting all the deadlines of the team. Checking how many invoices there are. You will be managing five Finance Maintenance Analysts.

The company needs someone from an aviation background who understands what happens in maintenance, specific procedures, and keeping the relationship going between Accounts Payable and Maintenance teams.

Essential Duties of The Maintenance Finance Manager

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of your team to ensure accurate conduct at all times;
  • Responsible for the upkeep and optimization of maintenance software and all process linked to data recording within it;
  • To assist with monitoring the financial performance of the maintenance function;
  • To support the preparation of forecasts for future years, including budgets, balance sheets, and financial management reports;
  • Verify the monthly reports presented by the team to Financial Accounting during month-end closing;
  • To assist in the reporting and presentation of actual versus budget presentations;
  • Manage the preparation and agreement of individual action plans and targets for all team members;
  • Participate in the assessment of long-term financial trends and review prospects for future cost-cutting;
  • Set an example for team members of commitment, economic activities, work ethics and habits, and personal character;
  • Meet your targets and those of the team on time and up to accurate specifications received;
  • Communicate with all members of the organization and its suppliers to facilitate day-to-day activities;
  • Assist in the recruitment of team members, subject to agreed criteria;
  • Contribute to training and development of the team;
  • From time to time, you may be expected to be part of special projects that are reasonably required of your job, even where these fall outside your own department/team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting;
  • Ten years minimum experience in Finance Analyses and Reporting within Aviation;
  • High level of Presentation and Communication Skills;
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Experience managing a team;
  • Is a self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Able to work accurately and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
