A Day In The Life of an Aircraft Engine Technician III (A&P)
The position you are applying for will require you to perform the following, including but not limited to: Removal/Repair/Installation of engine modules; Top Bottom Case Repairs; Removal Installation of Engines; Removal Installation of QEC; AD SB Modifications; Borescope Inspections; Boroblend Repairs; Engine Runs; NDT; Engine Preservation; Parking, Preservation Storage of Aircraft; General Shop Work other tasks as required.
Essential Duties of The Aircraft Engine Technician III (A&P)
- Thorough knowledge of FAA requirements of return to service engine aircraft protocol
- Able to read, understand follow ESM AMM manual instructions
- Disassemble, test, repair reassemble engine, engine modules components
- Remove/install various aircraft engines across multiple platforms
- Perform parking, preservation storage of various aircraft
- Perform regular inspections diagnose malfunctions
- Flexibility to work between teams in a lead capacity as needed
- Willingness to work as team member as well as independently with limited to no supervision
- Ability to learn as well as teach others on work scopes
- Readiness to take ownership of work scopes
- Excellent work ethic contributing leadership qualities that empower the organization as whole
- Proficient in MS Office suite
Minimum Requirements
- 5 plus years relevant industry experience as a CFM 56 Engine Modular Technician/Mechanic
- High school diploma or GED
- Airframe & Powerplant / Powerplant License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in MRO organization
- Excellent communicator with ability to teach/convey best industry practices in a professional work environment
- Forklift Operator Certification
- CDL
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Engine shop field work in all weather conditions
- Successful candidates must be willing to travel as needed both domestically internationally
Compensation: DOE (based on experience/qualifications)
