About the Internship
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support the assembly of our Flywheel Energy Storage System prototypes and will be given specific tasks to design and engineer jigs and fixtures for our manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will report to the Director of Engineering or Senior Engineer.


Internship Responsibilities
  • Assembly of prototypes and first production series
  • Design fixtures/jigs for production
  • Spec and source components and equipment
  • Assist in the installation and setup of production equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace (5S)
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Complete other tasks as necessary

Experience You’ll Need
  • Undergrad candidate in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
  • Affinity and an interest in equipment manufacturing
  • Practical metal fabrication skills like welding, milling, etc.
  • Experience designing tooling, jigs, and/or fixtures using SolidWorks
  • Affinity with automation, sensors, plc and robotics
