Tax Manager Public Accounting

We are seeking a Tax Manager/ CPA to join our growing team! This position is within a stable CPA firm located in PA (the position is fully remote). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience reviewing tax returns from the tax services team within a public accounting firm.

Duties:

• Facilitate and manage the accurate and timely preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual federal, state, and local tax returns for privately held and family-owned business clients
• Develop tax strategies to help clients maintain compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
• Conduct tax research for compliance issues and planning
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of these developments to the Tax Services team
• Create strategies to capitalize on changes to tax legislation
• Manage and facilitate correspondence with the IRS and other tax authorities
• Facilitate and manage the accurate and timely preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual federal, state, and local tax returns for privately held and family-owned business clients

• Conduct tax research for compliance issues and planning
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects of these developments to the Tax Services team
• Create strategies to capitalize on changes to tax legislation
• Manage and facilitate correspondence with the IRS and other tax authorities
• Serve as primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve

Requirements:

• An active CPA license is a must (Master in Taxation is a plus)
• Minimum of 7 years of public accounting tax experience (must be current or very recent)
• Knowledge of PA tax law and experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax and Engagement and CCH IntelliConnect/AnswerConnect software are big pluses!
• Possess extensive individual, corporate, and partnership tax knowledge and experience
• Management experience within a public accounting firm
• Are self-motivated and able to work independently but also a team player, establishing good working relationships with all team members
• Have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
