Job Description

Work for an award winning, dynamic and innovative commercial HVAC solutions company in SoCal. We are looking for a full-time, Outside Sales Engineer to hit the ground running. We need someone who is motivated by service and is a technical thinker by nature. You will be selling our latest cutting-edge products and services to mechanical contractors and engineers. Our ideal candidate is a hungry self-starter who knows how to sell boilers or has the desire to learn how. You will need experience in B2B sales and have the know-how to hunt for new business.

This is an outside sales field position in the Los Angeles market and you will have a set list of accounts to target.

We have a solid tiered commission plan that works to benefit a strong salespersons income to make unlimited, uncapped earning potential. You will also have an expense account to work with in entertaining prospective buyers.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Report directly to the sales manager.
  • Build relationships with contractors & specifying engineers to develop long-term relationships and generate sales prospects.
  • Provide project specific proposals with specifications; this requires a complete review of project requirements and where applicable specifications, schedules and drawings.
  • Follow up on all quotations and keep management abreast of their status.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations of our products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Equipment sizing to assist engineers, contractors and proper equipment selection.
  • Utilize the company's CRM software to track projects.


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent; Must have an engineering background or technical aptitude
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record of closing sales
  • The ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Excellent customer service, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to relate technical information to non-technical prospects
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and Microsoft Office Suite; must be tech savvy
  • Display a willingness to learn and to expand in the position
  • Detail oriented and a team player
