Job Description

Our Exclusive, rapidly growing Healthcare client is in a search for a Mid Level - Network Engineer to join their team on a PERMANENT basis. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of Cisco experience. This is a Hybrid work environment in the Murray Hill Area. Target 90-100k.

 

 

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on technical position responsible for the implementation, optimization and support of network and IT technologies throughout the Healthcare organization. The position will also create and update technical procedures and diagrams in order to ensure an optimal, predicable and supportable network and IT infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Planning
  2. Create, review and update network designs, network device configurations, project plans, tasks, etc. in order to ensure network optimization, predictability and support.
  3. Maintain a complete list of projects, milestones and tasks to ensure that all relevant activities are accounted for and projects are completed as expected and on time.
  4. Monitor technology trends and industry best practices. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve reduce operating costs and increase customer satisfaction.
  5. Proactively identify technology issues and solutions to solve them.

 

  1. Resource Management
  2. Prioritize work and responsibilities to ensure that objectives and priorities are aligned with business initiatives.

 

  1. Process Improvement
  2. Publish processes and procedures required to establish a highly predictable and repeatable operation.
  3. Participate in the development of standards, tools, methodologies, processes and procedures.

 

  1. Delivery
  2. Define a work task, activity or project: this will include, but not be limited to, the definition of scope, resource requirements, timeline and risk identification.
  3. Directly manage project activities to ensure project delivery.
  4. Prepare and participate in all required meetings.

 

  1. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as requested by Director or manager. This will include PC Tech type functions e.g. installing PCs, printers, scanners, troubleshooting end point devices, etc.

Qualifications and Education:

  1. A minimum of 5 years hands-on Information Technology experience with systems and applications in use e.g. Cisco 9300 and 3850 L3 and L2 switches, Cisco APs, WLCs, ISE, SolarWinds, etc. are required.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
  3. Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  4. Strong and demonstrable problem determination and resolution skills are required.
  5. Applicable professional certification preferred i.e. CCNA, A+, etc.
