Our Events team is in search of people who are passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.

Responsibilities:

This internship is designed for college students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in events. Interns will work directly with event department managers on a variety of projects including attendance-driving family friendly events and exclusive donor/large fundraising events. Tasks include detailed office work, as well as day-of event logistics. Day of tasks include setup, on site coordination between departments and teardown. This multidimensional position will also offer some public relations and marketing learning opportunities relative to the organization and specific events.

Requirements:

• Strong computer and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with Excel and Microsoft Word
• Schedule flexibility – available days, evenings, weekends based on needs.
• Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time in all types of weather.

Preferred:

• Availability May-December
• Previous event planning or customer service experience
• Knowledge of Toledo Zoo, events, or programs
