Robotics Engineer (Computer Vision/Perception)

Summary

Titan Robotics Inc. is a robotics leader developing novel robotic control software enabling process experts to easily employ advanced robotic solutions in the manufacturing and sustainment environments. We have deployed or are developing systems that perform laser coating removal, sanding, machining, thermal spray, painting, blasting, and non-destructive inspection. Our robots are controllable from desktop computers, touchscreen computers, and augmented reality devices. We are robotic-arm-manufacturer agnostic, and can handle robots mounted on the floor, rails, gantries, and mobile bases.

This posting is for an in-person role in Pittsburgh, PA with some work-from-home.

Responsibilities and Duties

The primary responsibilities of the Robotics Engineer are to design, implement, and test perception and perception-related algorithms. These will include simulation, calibration, live operations, and post-analysis tasks.

Day-to-day work will consist mostly of R&D work in C++ with regular deployments to in-house integration labs for testing as well as end of cycle deployments to customers located through the United States. The candidate will also assist in design meetings, both for physical sensor suite implementation and software architecture.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience writing modern C++
• Experience developing in Linux (Ubuntu preferred)
• Experience using version control software as part of a team
• Understanding of the underlying physics behind robotic perception
• Experience writing perception and related algorithms
• Self-Driven
• Constant Learner
