This key leadership role has responsibility for ensuring flawless planning and execution of Marketing Programs, Public Relations, and Internal Communication, along with managing Event Planning in support of the Sr. Director, Digital Marketing & Communications. The role interfaces with several functional teams including Executive, Finance, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Upstream/Downstream Marketing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leading creation & development of focused, high ROI events aimed at driving commercial objectives.
Leading creation & development of internal and/or external advertising professionals including Creative Design and Copywriting, Traffic, Printing, Videography, Photography, for online and offline deployment.
Assisting the Digital Team, along with Commercial Operations teams for deploying campaigns within CRM including SFDC.
Ability to drive lead management initiatives to generate sales through funnel marketing.
Leading marketing communications professionals across internal and external communications, interfacing with Public Relations contractors/agencies as needed to drive unpaid advertising, earned media to establish key communication objectives associated with product and corporate brands.
Ensuring compliance through partnership with Regulatory, Legal, and other required functions. Implementing a copy approval process with documentation to meet legal and regulatory promotional requirements. Ability to proactively maintain compliant digital and paper assets through proactive processes.
Defining brand architecture and execution mandatories, brand books, Style Guides to guide execution of digital and print marketing campaigns.
Coordinating relationships with printers, publishers, and other external vendors to support brand goals.
Partnering with Downstream Marketing, and Sales Management to create Playbooks for seamless sales execution with a clear call to action for all teams supported by well thought, compliant content.
Working with Downstream Marketing and other functions to identify leading indicators for the business.
Assisting Sr. Director, Digital Marketing & Communications, and the VP Marketing with budgeting and expense management.
Working with Downstream Marketing and other functions to identify leading indicators for the business and track execution performance. Working to create dashboards in partnership with Commercial Operations and other associated functions.
Assisting HR and Executives with Corporate Communications to internal employees, distributors, and key stake holders.
Managing the Event Planning function through oversite of Event Planner for Bio-Tissue and Amniox events, TissueTech corporate events, society meetings, and local meeting logistics when requested.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science for Marketing, Communications and/or related discipline – Required
Master’s Degree in Communications or relevant discipline – Preferred.
5-7 years working with professional associations, patient advocacy organizations- Preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Strong initiative and demonstrated ability to work with highly skilled professionals. Ability to help motivate team for high performance and manage expectations working with senior stakeholders.
Ability to juggle multiple, high priority initiatives.
Deep knowledge of healthcare industry best practices for Medical Devices, Pharma and/or Biologics, and customer dynamics. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing industry dynamics and support regulatory changes.
Ability to execute strategies and tactics on time and within budget. Strong attention to deadlines and quality of output.
Deep knowledge of media channels, both online and offline and earned media.
Ability to identify and disseminate newsworthy stories to build awareness and change behavior.
Internal and external communication fundamentals.
Ability to manage agencies and vendor partners.
Ability to lead Marketing Communications team. Hands on approach as needed, or delegation to ensure high quality output.
Track record of managing creative development and visual representation.
Collaborative skills-and ability to resolve conflict in high pressure situations.
Strategic thinking and critical thinking.
