Position Overview IT Support Specialist:

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for installing, modifying, making minor repairs to software systems and computer hardware, providing technical advice and support to system users, and providing technology training for end users.

IT Support Specialist, User Support:
  • Deploy, configure, troubleshoot and support mobile devices, printers, PC/laptop hardware, PC/laptop operating system and standard productivity software for internal IT users at various locations.
  • Troubleshoot general IT infrastructure including multifunction printers, video cameras, smart TVs, Wi-Fi access points, audio devices, and conference room equipment.
  • Follow standard ITSM processes of Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management and Project Management to serve internal IT users and drive high performance against operational metrics.
  • Provide orientation and direction to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
  • Handle PC Lifecycle Management, including Provisioning, Asset Management and Disposal. May also assist with disposal of other IT assets.
  • Participate in annual Risk Assessment and Profit Planning activities, including Disaster Recovery Reviews.
  • Provide Executive level support.

IT Support Specialist, IT Setup/Configuration/Hardware:
  • Assist with IT onboarding.
  • Setup workstations with computers and peripheral devices.
  • Install and configure software and functions according to specifications.
  • Respond to events/emergencies (power failure, water leaks, fire, etc) and aid in protecting, repairing, and/or salvaging IT infrastructure.

IT Support Specialist, IT Administrative Functions:
  • Maintain a stock peripheral devices. Confirm internal inventories are accurate and are up to date.
  • Support warranty, exchange, and return of items.
  • Receive IT packages and administer items (inventory, stock items, stage for projects, etc.)
  • Generate and manage users, contacts, and groups in the active directory. Reset/lookup passwords as requested.

IT Support Specialist, On-site/Project Support:
  • On-site technical project support for all company divisions
  • Racking IT equipment in server rooms and switch racks.
  • Establish on-site workstations.
  • Aid in running and terminating low-voltage cable and fiber

IT Support Specialist, Professional Requirements:
  • High school diploma required, some college (preferred).
  • Experience in IT using Microsoft Suite Experience with Microsoft products (Office 2016, Windows 10 etc.)
  • User training and customer service experience preferred
  • Must be able to travel as workload dictates.
