Customer Service Specialist - Parts

Summary: Provide telephone support for machine end users and machine distributors by assisting with replacement, spare and warranty part and subassembly identification and ordering.

Responsibilities:

•  Quickly and courteously assess the parts and support needs of customers owning a wide variety of capital sanding equipment, by listening to operators and maintenance people describe machine conditions.
• Works with Engineering, Purchasing and all other departments to generate detailed quotations for field repairs and upgrades
• Process orders and requests which come into the Group Mailbox in a timely manner.
• Assist customers by identifying parts and subassembly numbers, manufacturers and sources for manufacturing, procurement, and shipment from stock or direct shipment from the supplier.
• Advise end users of available upgrades for existing equipment to maximize the performance, reliability, and maintainability of their wide-belt sanders.
• Establish and quote pricing and availability of parts and subassemblies from MAPICS XA database.
• Accurately enter orders for spare, warranty and replacement parts and subassemblies.
• Provide assistance in requests for quotations for replacement parts and upgrades by coordinating requirements to technical help desk, engineering and procurement operations.
• Provide assistance to necessary support functions to ensure timely and accurate order shipment.
•  Identify shipping options and provide the customer with the most cost-effective method of delivery.
• Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

• Blueprint Reading
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Detailed oriented
• Multi-tasker
• Preferred Education: Two-year college business degree
• Experience: 2 – 3 years’ experience - Previous work with-in this industry
