Timco Logistics is looking to expand its capacity by hiring highly energetic Freight Brokers / Carrier Sales / Acct Managers / Customer service reps to the team.
The primary purpose of this role is to solicit independent trucking companies (third-party carriers) to cover customer-awarded freight by negotiating profitable margins on various lanes.
Freight Broker / Inside Sales / Carrier Sales / Acct Manager/ Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong network of carriers
- Develop a strong customer base
- Negotiate rates with drivers for best return on gross profit per load
- Assign loads to trucks, following company policy on planning requirements and HOS
- Monitor shipment status, reply to e-mails, process updates and act as the point of contact for carrier and customers
- Communicate changes in load status to applicable parties
Freight Broker /Carrier Sales Representative Profile:
- Highly organized and communicative – must be able to interact effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to perform in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
- Timely follow-through
- Ability to handle high volumes of inbound communication
