SUMMARY:

The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the Paid Search & Social Marketing Analyst. While in-depth knowledge of every area is not required, candidate must have a working knowledge of online marketing and be a very fast learner. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will dive deep into big data to extract, analyze, and report on findings that drive growth for Tillys.com. You will monitor and optimize sales performance on Facebook and across other Paid Social channels, identify opportunities and risks for growth, and present and execute on recommendations for improving the overall digital business.

 

Paid Search & Social:

  • Support day-to-day Paid Social operations with a specialization in Facebook Advertising
  • Monitor daily and intraday vital signs of accounts and ensure performance tracks to expectations
  • Manage the quality of inbound and outbound traffic and optimize toward business targets daily
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve business short-falls and build upon wins
  • Coordinate and distribute marketing assets to business partners
  • Work with merchandisers and planner to identify product and inventory updates and opportunities

Analytics:

  • Produce and report on business unit metrics relevant to traffic, monetization, and conversion quality
  • Formulate hypotheses that can be tested, measured, and reported on to a larger audience
  • Support business initiatives by identifying key trends in big data that can drive growth for the business
  • Validate data integrity in all analyses performed
  • Support department-wide ROI reporting and analyses when needed

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Word & Excel required)
  • Ability to transform complex facts and figures into plain English that can be easily understood
  • Keen attention to detail, financial responsibility, and strong organizational skills
  • Adept at compiling accurate reports and presenting analytical findings in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess an analytical and pragmatic approach to solving problems using technology
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and capacity to work with technical systems and teams
  • Adaptable and resourceful self-starter with the inquisitiveness and hunger for optimization and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of SQL, Perl, Python a plus
  • Familiarity with retail business a plus
  • Prior experience in these areas preferred: Affiliate Marketing, PPC, CSE, Marketplaces, Display Ads, SEO, Google Analytics, HTML
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Must have ability to multitask
  • Independent, self-motivated, team player
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
  • Strong understanding of retail culture

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3+ years’ experience in a data analytical role; 1-2+ years’ experience managing Paid Search & Paid Social marketing campaigns
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in English
