Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Establish a strong presence for Tidewater Mortgage, Services, Inc, including but not limited to; converting in-coming leads

Analyze current rates and programs to provide accurate and timely information to borrowers

Negotiate terms and conditions with borrowers

Participate in all steps related to the origination of a mortgage loan including but not limited to; direct communication with prospects, counseling borrowers and obtaining mortgage applications by phone

Manage personal pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals are met

Learn various borrowing programs and processes and stay current with changes and new products

Learn and utilize various in-house technical systems and programs

Comply with all applicable federal and state compliance guidelines relative to the position

Manage team of producing loan officers, build team , recruit sales and ops

Developing and following daily, weekly, monthly and annual plans

Producing Branch Manager handles the day-to-day operations of the branch and offers their self-sourced customer leads quality mortgage products with the objective of making the loan process an experience that exceeds expectations

Attract a winning team with players who consistently demonstrate an inclusive but independent approach to problem solving and pipeline building

Qualifications and Skills:

Possess a current mortgage loan originator state license NMLS

Self-motivated with a drive to excel and the ability to inspire and motivate others

Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills

Ability to gather data from multiple sources, test assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations

Ability to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task; close attention to detail; self-motivated

Sales driven environment experience and proven record of success in meeting and exceeding performance metrics

A minimum of 2 year of current origination experience in a consumer direct or call center environment

NMLS License Required under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 (“SAFE Act”) *

Experience collecting and analyzing borrower income and negotiating skills

Proficiency in standardized software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
