Throne Labs (www.thronelabs.co) is looking for multiple part-time Field Service Technicians to join our City Operations Team!
The City Operations Team is responsible for deploying and maintaining smart Throne bathrooms around the metro DC area. Thrones are designed and built with proprietary technology that includes mechanical components, plumbing, sensors, electrical components, on-board processing, cellular connectivity, and solar/battery power system.
In this role you will be part of the existing technical team and will report to the Technical Operations Manager. We have both Level 2 and Level 3 positions open.
Responsibilities and Duties
Level 2 technicians will:
Troubleshoot, maintain, test, calibrate, adjust, and repair Thrones including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing challenges
Document issues with high detail technical reports
Follow and interpret technical manuals and standard operating procedures
Work with the Throne engineering team to identify issues and contribute to product improvements
When not deployed into the field, support the production and operations teams with building components, subcomponents, and wiring harnesses
Drive to and from Throne sites around the DC metro area, as required to perform service and preventive maintenance
Level 3 technicians will also:
Contribute to creation of technical manuals and standard operating procedures
Provide emergency off-hours support to lower level technicians
Hard Skills Required:
Analyze computer-based dashboard data
Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical issues with minimal supervision
Solder circuit boards, crimp/terminate wires for signal and power connections
Read and contribute to circuit schematics, flow charts, diagrams
Replace pumps, electric motors, plumbing fixtures, solar panels
Ability to perform circuit board-level repair (Level 3)
Operate forklift safely, a plus
What We Are Looking For
A self directed team member who finds pleasure in working to solve challenges
Personal integrity and discipline
Experience as a field service technician with demonstrated ability to complete work regardless of weather conditions
Ability to ask for help when needed
Demonstrated experience assembling or repairing low pressure water plumbing systems, electronic sensors, low voltage electrical systems, crimping, BLDC motors, servos and mechanical components/mechanisms is highly desirable
Ability to work with a diverse team consisting of a variety of backgrounds
Certification from an accredited Electronics Tech program, an Associates Degree in Electronics, Biomedical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent is preferred but not required
OSHA 10 certification preferred, but not required
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requirements:
Driver’s License and good driving record (must pass a driving record check)
US Work Authorization
Must have means of transportation to reach job sites within the DC Beltway

- Mon 4pm-11pm
- Tue 4pm-11pm
- Wed 4pm-11pm
- Thurs 4pm-11pm
- Fri 4pm-11pm
