Office Manager/Client Services Specialist

Organization/Business Overview Two independent Financial Professionals of Thrivent Financial are looking to grow their practices with an Office Manager/Client Services Specialist. Thrivent takes a broad-based approach to helping our client members achieve multiple financial goals. Our Financial Professionals help our members analyze their current situation, develop in-depth financial programs, and help them implement an integrated financial strategy.

Job Description

Position Summary

This full-time position provides overall office administrative support to the practice and serves as a resource to the Financial Professionals and client/members in handling, researching and communicating inquiries regarding their accounts. This fast-paced position requires excellent attention to detail, organization skills and initiative. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual who wants to be part of achieving goals and growing in the business.

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
+ Guide clients through our financial planning process, including scheduling all appointments, gathering client information, inputting information into financial planning software, preparing presentation materials, and communicating status with the client
+ You will be the first point of contact for members/clients in-person and on the phone
+ Setup of investment accounts/insurance contracts and ongoing client service
+ Assist with preparation of investment proposals or insurance illustrations as directed by Financial Professionals
+ Prepare and execute paperwork for financial planning, investment accounts, and insurance contracts, including transfers of existing accounts; provide daily tracking or project status by communicating with the home office and other third parties, and keep the client informed of the progress on their accounts
+ Populate and maintain accurate client data in CRM software and other data systems; develop and prepare reports to ensure adherence to a robust client service model
+ Research inquiries regarding client accounts and perform account actions that do not require approval of the Financial Professional (processing deposits and withdrawals, providing account balances, executing investment trades, making beneficiary changes, etc.)
+ Develop, implement and monitor procedures, policies or standards in client service model processes
+ Conduct substantive research or information gathering that will be used with making securities product recommendations or providing investment advice
+ Collaborate with the home office to maintain and follow up on pending business and requirements, etc. to keep the business moving forward
+ Handle and properly document sensitive communications with client/members, and respond in an effective and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction
+ Coordinate support of client events, workshops, seminars, and Action Team volunteer opportunities

Position Qualifications
+ The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills as you will be communicating with members and prospects
+ Extremely strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Basic understanding of investment and insurance products
+ Strong experience in customer-facing and client-service roles
+ Series 7 and 66 securities licenses preferred, or willingness to obtain within 90 days
+ Life and Health insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain within 30 days
+ Previous financial industry experience strongly preferred
+ Excellent computer and technology skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office and web-based applications, and the ability to learn new applications quickly and independently
+ Experience with industry-specific computer applications (SalesForce, Morningstar, Wealthscape, MoneyGuide Pro) is a plus
+ Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
