Thompson Pipe Group is now looking for a Staff Accountant who is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements. Job Duties: · Perform general bookkeeping functions that include but is not limited to: accounts payable, organizing/filing financial documents, cash receipts, sales/use tax filings, account reconciliations, etc. · Assist with timely month-end and year-end financial close process; including but not limited to recording accruals, performing account reconciliations, and overall maintenance of general ledger.
· Support accounting management with information requests from both internal and external parties. · Analyze information by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. · Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
· Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related duties as needed. Competencies Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Competent in GAAP Accounting Principles.
Thoroughness/Attention to Detail. Deadline-Oriented. Communication Proficiency.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2 – 4 years of Accounting experience.
