Thompson is looking for a passionate, dedicated bilingual Teacher’s Assistant to join our residential services team for an exciting new program launching soon.
This position will involve providing classroom support to a largely Spanish speaking population of youth living in a temporary residential setting. There will be a very small teacher to student ratio, with the largest class being 8 students. This will allow for increased quality of education and connection between teacher and student. The Teacher’s Assistant will support students who need more individualized attention or refocus.
Ideal candidates will be both skilled educators while also being patient, compassionate, caring and flexible individuals.

Required education and skills
This position requires a high school diploma, GED, or Associate's and experience working with youths ages 12-18. Four year degree in Human Service or Education related field preferred. Experience with classroom management, behavioral management, or tutoring is strongly preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
