Job Description

Position Description     

·         Answer phone calls from a workstation located in the Public Health Call Center

·         Interact with the public and various officials over the phone and treat them respect and courtesy  

·         Identify the caller’s question(s) and/or concerns and determine if the appropriate resources to answer the caller are available via the training and documents you will be provided

·         Review Public Health guidance documents and instructions for information provided to the public

·         Alert a supervisor if available guidance does not exist or is inadequate for answering the caller’s question

·         Forward medical/technical calls immediately to a Clinical Health Navigator or Investigator

·         Operate an assigned computer in order to access provided guidance, instructions and updates

·         Identify callers with foreign language requirements or language restrictions and find the proper translators and/or assistance

·         Book appointments for public callers looking to receive vaccinations by utilizing an online scheduling system

·         Perform administrative tasks to support the Call Center and Contact Tracing efforts        

 

Skills Required

·         Customer Service, Computer familiarity               

 

Skills Preferred               

·         Public Health/Medical experience, K-12 Teaching or School Administration          

 

Experience Required    

·         1 Year customer service or similar            

 

Experience Preferred   

·         1 year medical or public health experience          

 

Education Required       

·         Associate Degree            

 

Education Preferred      

·         Undergraduate degree
