Job DescriptionAs a Quality Engineering Co-op, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with many cross-functional experts. This position will work with multiple departments and processes to drive continuous improvement. Areas of exposure will include; Problem solving, Data Analysis, Measurement System Analysis / GR&R, Minitab, Statistics, and Communication. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge and understanding through hands-on application in a manufacturing environment.
In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Measurement system analysis (including but not limited to Gage R&R)
- Gage Calibration and improvement
- Capability studies (Minitab) / Data analysis & Reporting
- Problem investigation for root cause (include use of drawings, material specs, etc.)
- Projects – such as skin dyne level or assisting Continuous Improvement team
Successful candidates will have:
- Pursuing a degree in business, engineering or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understand of Gage R&R and statistics (Minitab)
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines with cross-functional input.

Physical Demands: Physical demands of performing the duties of this job include, but are not limited to, occasionally lifting/handling up to <=50, frequently lifting/handling up to <=15 lbs, and constantly lifting/handling up to <=5 lbs.
Non-Physical Demands: Include but are not limited to time pressures, frequent change of tasks, irregular work schedule/overtime, multi-tasking, working closely with others as a team, and tedious or exacting work.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration daily. Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors are seasonally in nature.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required and pursuing a degree in business, engineering or related field.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic statistics. Ability to analyze data.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills (Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint)
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
