Job Description
Growing logistics company and wine importer has an opportunity for an experienced accounting administrator who can juggle both bookkeeping and office management tasks. We are seeking a competent and personable administrator who will be a good match with our rigorous work ethic and high degree of attention to detail; the type of person who takes great pride in his/her work and is unwilling to compromise on quality.
Responsibilities include
- Managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Processing all weekly payments and deposits
- Creating and tracking vendor purchase orders
- Creating and processing client invoices
- Processing commission payments to sales employees
- Maintaining office supplies and responding to supply requests from sales reps
- Communicating with sales reps, clients, and suppliers via phone and email
- Processing and maintaining inventory reports and reconciling inventory discrepancies
- Preparing and filing monthly sales and use tax returns and other compliance reports
- Providing additional administrative and accounting support as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting
- Must have thorough understanding of QuickBooks software, and preferably experience with Great Plains accounting software
- Must have previous experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Must have excellent facility with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess a flexible nature and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with monitoring and managing aging accounts
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong team player who can produce quality work with quick turnaround
- Capable of attentive service to clients and team members
- Maintains and complies with the highest degree of professional standards, professional conduct, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
