Regional Sales Director-Southeast

This role reports into the Director of Sales. There are currently 3 Regional Sales Directors that manage the Domestic Field Sales Team with each of them responsible for 8-11 Sales Business Development Managers that directly report to them. Each Sales Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and executing dynamic sales and marketing plans that drive revenue growth in their territory. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for further development of these plans and the Sales Business Development Managers through partnering, coaching and mentoring to achieve the assigned business goals for this territory. The Regional Sales Director manages multiple priorities with cast, agency owners, budgets, travel and regional goals for each of the 5 Disney Destinations.
Please note, this position is a work remote opportunity and the ideal candidate will need to be located in the Southeastern part of the US from Washington DC down (GA, AL, FL).

  • 4 year college degree desired
  • Certificate/Licenses: CTA or CTC desired
  • Understanding of sales and marketing concepts
  • Previous Disney experience
  • Previous travel industry experience
  • Previous field sales experience
  • Knowledge of Disney Travel products (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Adventures by Disney, Aulani, and Disney Cruise Line)
  • Able to establish effective partnerships with each member of the internal team, as well with external partners and clients
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as Tableau, SharePoint, and Shield, CRM database tool
  • 5 - 7 years leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of the Disney Brand and Products
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to hire, lead and mentor a team of 9-12 salaried cast
  • Strong planning and analytical skills to maximize business results
  • Broad understanding of marketing principles and ability to create strategic plans, creative problem-solving skills
  • Broad understanding of travel industry and key trends in the territory and marketplace
  • Develop Sales Business Development Managers to create, implement and measure unique marketing programs, consumer events and training initiatives that drive business results
  • Partner with individual lines of business to drive revenue to key priorities throughout the year
  • Partner with Sales Business Development Managers to assist clients with development of annual marketing plans and co-operative spending
  • Provide territory intelligence and competitive learnings to business leaders as requested or through weekly Intel reporting
  • Great relationship skills, the ability to be a credible business partner both internal and external
  • Drive Annual Business Results for your region
  • Must possess great leadership skills to lead, coach and mentor a team of 9-12 salaried cast each working remotely in the region
  • Ability to travel to each Sales Business Development Managers' territory quarterly to mentor them on sales calls
  • Develop Sales Business Development Managers to create and implement strategic sales & marketing plans for travel agencies within an assigned territory based on the culture of the territory
  • Assist Sales Business Development Managers to identify and develop new sales growth initiatives that are measurable and actionable.
  • Ability to assist Sales Business Development Managers develop the business cases and solve complex business issues.
  • Possesses product knowledge of all 5 Disney Destinations inclusive of any promotional opportunities
  • Manage a regional budget and be accountable for timely forecasting, tracking and reporting
  • Manage multiple competing priorities daily.
  • Ability to comprehend and access financial reports to direct their team
  • Host bi-weekly regional meetings and weekly 1-1 with Sales Business Development Managers
  • Possess great communication skills to effectively manage a remote team inclusive of attending a weekly leadership and brand calls to stay abreast of current communication
  • Stay current on all competitive trends in the travel industry
  • This position requires extensive travel (80%)
Preferred Education :
  • 5 - 7 years leadership experience
