As the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership, management and success of a premier senior living community. You will be responsible for leading and ensuring a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members.
As a leader of this community your responsibilities include attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, supervising and training of a high quality team, team member relations and recognition, communication, resident and family services, resident well-being, quality assurance, and financial management. Additionally, a key component of this position is the ownership of the Sales & Marketing process to ensure maximization of census and market position.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a General Manager and successfully managing all aspects of an Independent Living community operations; or Full Service Hotel/Hospitality Management experience.
- Must have a passion for working with seniors.
Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision & discipline of team members.
Previous food and beverage, fine dining experience required.
Demonstrated success in managing operating expenses. Previous experience working with sales and marketing required.
Ability to identify and build relationships within the local area that drives business into the community, as well as maximize revenue.
Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as the ability to learn new applications required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate small group presentations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
