Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Foodservice Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the overall sales activities for the company's Food Service division.  This includes managing and coaching Regional Food Service Sales Managers to promote growth of the business through Food Service distributors through education and sales to both restaurants and institutional establishments such as schools, hospitals, and catering facilities.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

●        Responsible for growing the Food Service business across key priority regions

●        Manage and support regional managers in their territories to help develop their business

●        Maintain a network of strategic Food Service brokers across the country

●        Communicate product line quality and authenticity to brokers, distributors and operators

●        Identify and grow food service sales through new business opportunities

●        Manage promotional and marketing funds effectively and efficiently to hit growth targets

●        Attend Food Service Trade shows as needed to gain exposure for the brand

●        Providing Feedback to Management regarding account status, updated forecasts and growth opportunities

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

●        Bachelor’s Degree in business administration in Finance, Marketing or related field

●        7+ years of experience in the Food Service industry

●        Experience selecting and managing Food Service brokers

●        Ability to act strategically and tactically in the performance of the job

●        Proven people management skills and strong interpersonal skills to relate cross-functionally in a fast-paced business environment (control without authority)

●        Have the ability to support the food service team, drive sales, implement programs and ideas, develop accounts, open new accounts, make new SKU placements within existing accounts, and achieve sales goals

●        Strong, positive personality with very strong "people skills"

●        Analytical skills: ability to set up business scorecards and identify trends, issues, and opportunities

●        Support the company’s executive leadership with needed information regarding the state of the business to facilitate decision making

●        Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook along with excellent oral and written communication skills

●        Proficient in IT/SAP functions and/or has the ability to quickly learn to use these functions

●        Ability to travel 50% of the time

●        Self-motivated- ability to effectively and efficiently work from a home office
