The Position

Our client seeks to fill a Sr. Credit Officer role in the Nashville, TN market. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of credit risk of the loan portfolio to include various reporting to bank management and the Board of Directors and assist the Chief Credit Officer in the management of the Credit Administration area.

This position includes a generous salary of up to $195K plus bonus and excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Sr. Credit Officer responsibilities include:
  • Assisting the Chief Credit Officer in formulating and deploying of the Bank's lending policies.
  • Assisting Relationship Managers in the review, structuring, underwriting, and approval of loan requests within the bank's lending policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that the bank's total portfolio complies with policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Assisting in the monitoring of the entire loan portfolio through the review of various loan reporting.
  • Approval of credits within established loan authorities and support of credits requiring Chief Credit Officer and/or Executive Committee approval.
  • Assisting in preparations for bank examinations and loan reviews.
  • Assisting in written responses to loan reviews and applicable portions of bank examinations.
  • Assisting in the training and development of other Credit Officers, Credit Analyst, and Relationship Manager.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements

You also bring the following skills and experience:
  • A master's degree, or (2) a bachelor's degree plus professional certification (e.g. CPA).
  • Eight or more years of similar or related experience.
  • Lending experience preferred.
  • Analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses.
  • Must have excellent communication and PR skills.
  • Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions.
  • Ability to use related software required.
