Job Description
Salary:

Accounting Manager will provide supervision, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting tasks and activities. This task is essential to ensure company’s performance and success. Accounting Manager will be direct assistance to C.F.O. with financials, accounting related matters, general ledger projects, and will assist with special projects assigned by upper management. 



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy 
  • Oversee accounting daily operations 
  • Ability to formulate, interpret, adapt, and apply policies and regulations 
  • Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principles 
  • Encourage other employees to adhere to department standard and procedures 
  • Participate in recruit, hire and training new employees  
  • Set up and monitor accounting KPIs 
  • Prepare and present KPIs to stakeholders  
  • Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc. 
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data 
  • Produce financial reports or statements as requested 
  • Provide recommendations based on financial data 
  • Assist / perform and / or oversee annual audits 
  • Assists accountants on tax return preparation 
  • Handles client payroll 
  • Generates 1099's and W-2's for company 
  • Meet financial accounting objectives 
  • Assists other corporate associates and the CFO 
  • May assist other Accounts Payable Clerks in departmental initiatives 
  • Performs related duties as assigned 
  • Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement pages/schedules 

 

 

 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • BA degree in Accounting or Finance,
  • CPA license preferred but not required 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in public accounting experience including auditing, analysis and the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership and trust returns, and financial statements.  
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and the ability to conduct basic tax research.  
  • Excellent computer skills on MS Office 
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases 
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize
