Job Description: JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: BRICK MASONDIVISION: ALL U.S. DIVISIONSREPORTS TO: SUPERINTENDENT ASSIGNED TO THE PROJECTSUPPORTING STAFF: FIELD CREW ASSIGNED TO PROJECTSTATUS: NON-EXEMPTREVISED DATE: August 4, 2020 THE MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Ability to install brick and tile as instructed by the Superintendent or Foreman using a variety of mortars specifically relating to masonry structures and linings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: . Installs masonry units and materials in accordance with accepted masonry practice to a level of high quality and reliability. . Utilizes all essential equipment and supplies required to carry out the work scope. . Follows STEBBINS corporate and client safety programs, including familiarizing himself/herself with potential hazards associated with the workplace and adjacent areas. . Ability to read drawings and install the masonry work with directions from the Superintendent or Foreman. . Develops and maintains the knowledge and skills for the installation of masonry materials including but not limited to: · Chemically resistant tile and brick · Tile/brick lined structural concrete tanks and chests · Gun applied masonry materials · Rammed refractory plastics and castable materials · Conventional block and architectural brick and tile . Maintains knowledge in the installation of scaffolding and shoring required for implementation of the masonry project. . Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Ability to complete full journeyman program from approved union affiliation. Education preferred but not required: High school graduate or GED EXPERIENCE: Prior construction experience. Minimum three years of field experience. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Must be willing and able to join the Bricklayers and Allied Craft-workers Union or currently a member.
