Litigation Paralegal (Mid-Senior Level)

Job Summary

TSLF (The Spiggle Law Firm) seeks a mid-level to senior-level litigation and employment law paralegal to assist its attorneys in litigation casework. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above-average attention to detail, concern for the accuracy of work, and a strong commitment to complete tasks on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, and have a strong sense of duty, integrity, and discipline. The applicants for this position can expect clearly defined work, responsibilities, reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person’s competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. The position will provide security in a stable, professional working environment, allowing the person to plan for, focus on, and complete tasks on hand. The position will generally be task-oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work, as well as proficient in their time management and prioritization skills.

Our Paralegals:

  • Observe the benefits of a hybrid position with 3 days a week in the office and 2 working remotely
  • Receive 3 weeks paid vacation/PTO per annum

Compensation: $65,000.00+ depending on experience.


$65,000+ Salary is commensurate with experience


The Ideal Candidate is:

  • Proactive, task-oriented, and a motivated, driven self-starter
  • Able to respond positively to pressure and manage several priorities
  • Analytical, disciplined, accountable, and a supportive team player
  • Able to work collaboratively with their assigned legal team to achieve goals efficiently and consistently


  • A minimum of 5 years experience in employment law litigation
  • Proficiency with filing and service requirements in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, Federal and State courts
  • Experience in managing discovery for assigned attorney(s), including propounding discovery requests appropriate to the relevant causes of action in the operative pleading and responding to discovery, meet and confer efforts, and drafting motions to compel, motions to quash, memorandums, proposed orders, and supporting declarations
  • Experience drafting motions, oppositions and replies, FLSA, FMLA, and Title VII Complaints
  • Experience in deposition, mediation and trial document preparation and organization, including but not limited to motions in limine, voir dire, jury instructions, etc.
  • Proficient in management of attorney caseload calendaring, daily administrative tasks, and general firm interaction
  • Experience drafting demand letters
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Experience in legal calendaring, inclusive of knowledge of calendaring rules in Federal and State courts
